Embodied Moments NYC is a body of work by Nicky Conti, in which her fine art street photography is reimagined as couture. Each photograph is transformed into a one-of-a-kind garment, designed to echo the emotional and visual essence of the New York location where it was originally captured.

As photographer and creative director, Conti translates her images into sculptural forms through fabric, structure, and movement. Developed in collaboration with a dressmaker and textile artist, each piece merges concept with craft. She then returns to each New York location to model and wear the finished garment, directing the final on-site photography and film — completing the transformation from captured image to embodied moment.
